Smart Film is an advanced PDLC (Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal) film that transforms ordinary glass into on-demand privacy glass. Flick a switch and the glass changes from frosted to crystal clear in under 30 milliseconds — no curtains, no blinds, no compromise on natural light or clean architectural lines.
How it works
A liquid crystal layer sits between two transparent conductive films. When powered, the crystals align and the film turns transparent. Power off, and the crystals scatter light, making the glass opaque for full privacy — while still letting daylight through. Opaque is the fail-safe state: in a blackout, your privacy is protected automatically.
Two options for any project
Self-Adhesive Smart Film
Applies to the indoor face of your existing glass — offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, shopfronts and homes without replacing glazing. Widths up to 1.8 m.
Laminated Smart Glass
The film is sealed inside new glass panels for partitions, doors and premium joinery. Fully encapsulated and protected. Widths up to 2 m.

Smart Film is precision-cut to your glass dimensions and installed by experienced installers — the film is designed for a single, perfect application, and correct electrical connection is essential for even switching and longevity. All 230 V wiring is completed by a licensed electrician in line with Australian requirements.
We supply and install in Melbourne and Sydney, and supply pre-cut film with full technical support Australia-wide. Pricing is per square metre.
