Fire Rating
Sketch Australia's thin natural stone veneers hold an NCC Group 3 classification under AS 5637.1-2015, based on cone calorimeter testing to AS/NZS 3837-1998 by AWTA (Test No. 23-003447, issued September 2023). This supports use as interior wall coverings across a wide range of building classes — confirm the specific requirements for your project with your building certifier.

What Group 3 means for your project
The National Construction Code (NCC) groups wall and ceiling lining materials from Group 1 (highest performance) to Group 4. Group 3 materials are accepted for interior wall linings in many residential and commercial applications. The specific limits depend on your building class, the location within the building (for example, fire-isolated exits have stricter requirements) and whether the building is sprinkler protected.
